Letters to Santa Address - Where to Mail
How to Get a Reply from Santa Claus
|
BEFORE DECEMBER 15TH....
Dear Parents: Once your child has written his or her letter to Santa Claus, just follow the steps below to receive a return letter with a North Pole postmark. (The US Postal Service Letters from Santa program )
1.) Place your child's signed letter to Santa Claus into an envelope and seal it.
2.) Assist your child in addressing the letter to: Santa Claus, North Pole. Assure your child you will place a stamp on it and mail it.
3.) Later, open the envelope and write a reply letter from Santa to your child ON THE BACK of your child's letter. (Mention saving paper this year or going green as a reason for writing on the back.) Place the letter in a stamped envelope and address it to your child with the return address: Santa Claus, North Pole.
4.) Place the envelope addressed to your child in a separate larger envelope with adequate postage addressed to:
North Pole Holiday Postmark, Postmaster, 4141 Postmark Drive, Anchorage AK 99530-9998
Note: Letters from Santa must be received on or before December 15th, so the letter needs to be mailed by December 8th.
Once received, the Anchorage postmaster will open the letter, take out Santa's letter to your child and apply the North Pole postmark then mail it back to your home.
Here's an idea - when the letter arrives back in the mail, stick it in the freezer for a while so it is all cold and icy from the "North Pole", before giving it to your child.
